We’re closing the 2025 season, how else but with Epic Rides Šotovento – Winter Special. A winter edition with a twist: a new route, shorter but full of charm. Perfect for short days, yet still “Epic” enough to bring the season to a close.

Route
The Route - New, Yet Familiar
Šotovento is a true biker’s playground - a network of trails, gravel roads, and side paths offering almost endless combinations.
This winter, we faced an extra challenge: adapting the route to the season, shorter days, winter conditions, and lower temperatures call for a different approach.
That’s why we’ve prepared a new, more compact route of about 37 km. It partly follows the trails from previous years but includes new sections and some familiar ones, only in the opposite direction. And on a bike… that makes it an entirely new story.
This year’s start is not “as usual” - we’re setting off from the very heart of Krk’s old town, from St. Bernardin Promenade near the Sundial, with a sea view and the Advent stage as our backdrop.
After a few warm-up kilometers, the route takes you straight into the heart of Šotovento - an area already known for its peaceful paths, wooded climbs, and winding gravel roads bordered by dry-stone walls.
Some parts will feel familiar, some completely new, and some old but in reverse.
E-bike? Of course.
There’s also a shorter version (20 km) for those who prefer an easier ride - but note: the short route has no feed zone.
NOTE: The Epic Rides route is always carefully designed, ensuring that it never exceeds 50 km and 1,000 m of elevation gain (combined). Also, the route has no technically demanding sections, and if any are unavoidable due to terrain, they are short, walkable, and additionally marked along the course.
